Meteorology and Climate – Modeling for Air Quality Conference  (MAC-MAQ)

The MAC-MAQ conference, held virtually September 14-17, 2021 featured a number of ARL research activities, including:

  • Daniel Tong: Ensemble PM2.5 Forecasting During the 2018 Camp Wildfire
  • Patrick Campbell: An Improved National Air Quality Forecasting Capability Using the NOAA Global Forecast System. Part I: Model Development and Community Application
  • Youhua Tang: An Improved National Air Quality Forecasting Capability Using the NOAA Global Forecast System. Part II: Science Advancements and Evaluations
  • Gill-Ran Jeong: Updating and Evaluating Emissions in NOAA’s Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS)-Aerosols
Upcoming Events

Bruce Baker will be giving an invited talk at the Federal Government Aviation Weather Technical Exchange Meeting hosted by NCAR in October.  The goal of this TEM is to gain awareness  across different federal agencies of current and planned research efforts, identify gaps in support, uncover any redundancies in activities, inform industry and academia of needs and opportunities.
