ARL Receives NOAA Technology Transfer Award 2017

July, 2017

Congratulations to ARL’s Ariel Stein, Barbara Stunder, Mark Cohen, Glenn Rolph, and Roland Draxler for receiving a NOAA Technology Transfer Award 2017. The NOAA Technology Transfer Awards recognize NOAA scientific, engineering, and technical employees for achievements that are developed further as commercial applications, or that advance the transfer of NOAA science and technology to U.S. businesses, academia, other government and non- government entities. The award includes $2,500. In the case of group awards, this is distributed equally among winners.

The ARL team received this award for exceptional work in transferring the HYSPLIT dispersion model to first responders, emergency planners, academia, and other government agencies.

Awardees will be honored at a November ceremony at the NOAA Auditorium in Silver Spring, Maryland.
