“Mercury Sunrise” featured by Science Update

The AAAS Science Update radio program is featuring the “Mercury Sunrise” story at this time. The first airing was on 17 April. In the program, the results of the ARL study of the chemistry of mercury during the explosive concentration growth of reactive gaseous mercury at the time of polar sunrise are discussed. The spokesman is Dr. Steve Lindberg, of Oak Ridge National Laboratory, who works on the ARL project with Dr. Steve Brooks of ARL’s Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division in Oak Ridge.
