BAMS Features ARL Activities – Urban And Nocturnal
May 13, 2002
The April 2002 issue of the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society features a discussion of urban dispersion studies conducted recently at Salt Lake City. The ARL tracer capabilities at Idaho Falls were the central part of the study. The Long-EZ was also heavily involved. Kirk Clawson of ARL is one of the authors. A second article in the same issue describes the CASES-99 study that also leaned heavily upon the use of the Long-EZ. CASES-99 was focused on improving understanding of the nocturnal boundary layer. Carmen Nappo of ARL Oak Ridge is one of the authors.
