ARL Workshop on the Use of Reanalysis Data for Climate Studies

March 12, 2004

On Thursday March 18, 2004, ARL will host a one-day “Workshop on Using Reanalyses to Homogenize Upper-Air Data” in Silver Spring. Discussions and presentations will focus on potential uses of existing reanalysis products to aid in adjusting temporally-inhomogeneous radiosonde data for climate studies and plans for future reanalyses that will better serve climate needs. Participants include about two dozen researchers from NOAA (ARL, NCEP, GFDL, and OGP), NASA, NCAR, University of Maryland, ECMWF, UK Met Office, and Lawrence Livermore National Lab.
