ARL to Welcome Visitors at Open House on 4 May

The NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction and its tenant organizations, ARL among them, will host an open house on Saturday, 4 May, from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. Members of the public are invited to tour the facility, meet NOAA’s scientists, and learn about how the important research conducted by our personnel impacts your everyday life and wellbeing.

ARL will provide a laboratory overview, followed by tours of our atmospheric chemistry laboratory, where visitors will see the tools our scientists use to measure and model atmospheric pollutants such as mercury and ozone; pollutants that serve as key indicators of air quality.

UPDATE 5/6/19: ARL enjoyed a successful open house, hosting eight different tour groups totaling several hundred guests. See photos below.
