Latest HYSPLIT Workshop Continues the Trend of Increasing International Collaboration

ARL Acting Director Dr. Ariel Stein and retired NOAA scientist and HYSPLIT developer Roland Draxler presented HYSPLIT Workshop Europe 2018 from May 15-17, 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Thirty registered participants from 15 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East gathered for the course, which was tailored to bolster interactions with the scientific community and promote the exchange of ideas related to solving atmospheric dispersion problems. Held at the Laboratories of the Environmental Geochemistry and Atmospheric Research Team, Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, the workshop guided participants through the use of trajectory and concentration models and the interpretation of results.
