ARL's Strategic Planning

The specific goal of ARL research is to improve and eventually to institutionalize both current assessment and future prediction of atmospheric dispersion, air quality, deposition, and related atmospheric environmental variables, with full allowance for the roles of climate change and variability. The activities of ARL contribute to the goals of the NOAA's Strategic Plan, but also address a higher level of consideration - NOAA's role as a source of atmospheric and aquatic environmental guidance to other elements of society and especially to other federal and state agencies.
