Where can I find a current emissions report on the greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane?

There are four places that would be a good starting point to find information on greenhouse gas emissions. Libraries in your area may have some or all of these publications.

1. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), an international group organized by the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environmental Program. They have issued a series of reports over the last 10 years or so.

2. The U.S. EPA has published many reports on greenhouse gas emissions. A good place to start to find reports is their global warming site:

   http://epa.gov/climatechange/index.html

3. The Worldwatch Institute has published several reports on global warming, including the following:
   • Paper 138. Rising Sun, Gathering Winds: Policies to Stabilize the Climate and Strengthen Economies by Christopher Flavin and Seth Dunn 1997
   • Paper 130. Climate of Hope: New Strategies for Stabilizing the World's Atmosphere by C. Flavin and O. Tunali 1996
   • Paper 91. Slowing Global Warming: A Worldwide Strategy by C. Flavin 1989

4. The World Resources Institute publishes a compendium of environmental data every two years or so. I couldn't find their website, but I found their latest publication available at http://www.amazon.com.
