HYSPLIT Workshop and PC Tutorial

HYSPLIT workshop class

Each year, usually in the spring, the ARL HYSPLIT team hosts a workshop at the NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction in College Park, Maryland. This 3-day workshop is designed to provide the user with hands-on insruction on how to install, run, and interpret the results of the PC-based version of the HYSPLIT model. No prior experience is necessary, however, a background in meteorology or atmospheric dispersion would benefit the user as the material is presented rather quickly in order to provide as many examples of the capabilities as possible in the 3 days of the workshop. Installing the model on a PC prior to attending is also strongly suggested since some applications require administrative privileges and the user may fall behind quickly if there are problems with installation on the first day of the workshop.

Announcements and registration details will be posted in a box to the right several months prior to the next workshop.
